As you may or may not know, around Stockport there is a large Art Trail of Frogs. All of which have different and unique designs and names such as Froguristic, SpiderFrog and Blossom Frog. In October, Friends of Lady Barn decided to put in a case to sponsor a Stockport Frog. The Frogs are sponsored by various companies in order to raise money for different charities. This year after all the bids were made, £35,000 was raised for St Ann's Hospice, which is such fantastic news!
The Art Trail consists of over 20 Frogs for you to find and spot all around Stockport. After careful consideration, we decided that the Frog we wanted to sponsor would be Blossom, whose original spot was in Bruntwood Park. As Bruntwood is only a stone's throw from the School, Friends of Lady Barn felt it would be best to keep the frog where it was original and gift it to the park so the whole community can continue to enjoy it!
We went to visit when Blossom was moved back to Bruntwood and took Darwin (the Head's beautiful black lab) with us! You can watch the video of Blossom being moved on our Instagram. Big thanks to Stockport Movers for the help!
We are so excited to be a part of this wonderful trail and that Friends of Lady Barn can gift the community something for everyone to enjoy. Let us know if you hop down to Bruntwood to visit and email us some photos! Email to: friends@ladybarnhouse.org.
