Whilst our Monarch celebrated her Platimum Jubilee last month, back in 2011 Lady Barn House School celebrated 50 years in its current location. Since 1961 Lady Barn has made its home here on Schools Hill in Cheadle, Stockport. Both its physical and educational excellence have evolved over this time to become the noted establishment it is today, an achievement worth celebrating for both pupils and the wider school family.
During the Golden Anniversary festivity, pupils were invited to design their own commemorative ‘50 Years on Schools Hill’ logo...and here they are below! Just like our current pupils created Platinum Jubilee artwork and crafts, the pupils designing these Golden Jubilee logos used the skills and resources from the school to create beautiful designs fit for royalty.
Do you recognise your design or that of your child’s? If you were at the school during the time of the move or shortly after, please do get in touch and share your memories.
Over the past 50 years both our curriculum and facilities have evolved, and during this time we have become one of the North West's most prestigious independent primary schools. As we head towards our special 150th year, we'll be keeping you updated with events and school related activities, which we hope you'll enjoy hearing about and participating in.
